Thinking of buying a container of goods
from the UK ?
There are 5 questions that you will want answered:-
- Why should I buy from you and not just come
to the UK and buy myself?
We have a long established network of suppliers and auctions we buy
from every week, as well as buying direct from private houses. We can
buy at very competitive prices, and we have time to source special items
you may require. We have a full time buyer and small depot in Normandy France from where we import goods
regularly, so we can supply a mixture of both French and English goods.
Think of the costs you will save - air fares; hotels;
car hire; meals as well as the cost of getting all of your purchases
collected and packed, and remember - you will not have to leave your
business for 2 to 3 weeks.
- How much will it cost and how do I pay?
We can supply a container to suit your budget - a 40ft container can
cost as little as $10,000, right up to $50,000 (the more you spend the
older and better quality stock you buy). A $10,000 container would be
mainly furniture around 1920 to 1950, with 2 or 3 older pieces mixed
in and some bric-a-brac. A $30,000 container will be mainly 1870 to
1920 furniture with more bric-a-brac and small pieces. Payment is 50%
with order and balance on despatch with shipping cost payable on arrival.
Most major credit cards excepted (a small commsion charge applies).
- What about packing, shipping and paperwork?
We do all of this for you - we have our own packer, do all necessary
paperwork, arrange shipping and even get you a discount price because
of the number of containers we send - all you need is a customs broker
in your port of arrival.
- How long will it take?
Depending on the type of goods you require, and any special orders you
may have, we normally despatch containers within 4 weeks of order and
deposit.
- What will I get?
Whether you are a wholesaler, a retailer with a shop or mall space,
or an auctioneer, we can supply a container tailored to suit your needs
at a competitive price.
Some
of our clients want to purchase their stock in the raw, as found condition,
to restore and re-finish themselves, and we are happy to do this. Most,
however, want to buy clean stock ready to sell straight off the container.
We are set up to do this - each piece is overhauled when it comes in,
checked over, any missing moulding replaced, loose joints glued.
Every piece has full sets of hooks and handles
and tidy mirrors. All you need to do is unpack your container, a quick clean over and your
ready to go.
If you are an established trader you tell us what
you want and set the budget. If you are just starting out, we will select
for you a good cross section of types, styles and ages of pieces in different
woods, plus a mixture of bric-a-brac within your budget so you can test
your market to see what is right for you.
If you are an auctioneer we can supply an auction
in a box of approx. 200 items in total, including about 120 pieces of
furniture of mixed styles, ages and woods from a stool to a triple wardrobe,
plus bric-a-brac, china, glass, prints, lead glass, mirrors, old tools,
water cans etc.
We are happy to discuss your requirements and to
send you photos of the type of stock available and copies of manifests
of previous containers. Our aim is to supply you the type of stock you
need to succeed and bring you back for more.
